Resident volunteers led the behavioral shift, moving from initial struggles with overflowing bins to a routine where segregation at source is standard practice. The initiative demonstrates that large apartment societies can manage their waste footprint internally with coordinated effort.

Organizers say the model is replicable for other housing societies across India, provided there is resident participation, space for composting, and linkages to recycling and wastewater treatment infrastructure.
